一般人去夏威夷度假 都喜歡吃 buffet 早餐,  我當然也愛pig out.   不過最讓我念念不忘的夏威夷早餐是在ABC Store  買的 夏威夷飯糰 (Spam Musubi) 配麥茶.
甚麼是夏威夷飯糰呢?  夏威夷飯糰就是用烤過的午餐火腿肉包的飯糰. 肉有點醃過加醬油, 放在壽司飯上,  在用海苔包起來.  有點像一般的日式御飯糰. 不過鹹鹹的烤午餐火腿肉讓飯糰更入味.  好像在吃日本燒烤一樣.
去夏威夷時,  大姐千交付萬交代, 別忘記去 ABC Store 買飯糰吃.  我看大姐大概對當時去夏威夷時吃的飯糰, 念念不忘.  看在大姐平日待我不薄的份上,  我為她從夏威夷帶回兩粒飯糰.  大姐還感動的抱著我... 真是很愛吃.......  我當時看大姐吃的津津有味,  不知那根筋不對, 誇下海口說, 這夏威夷飯糰也沒甚大不了,  就一塊火腿包起來.... 我也會做...
其實蠻簡單的, 飯一鍋,  一罐午餐火腿肉Spam, 海苔, 和一包紫菜拌飯粉.

如果你問我,  這次去夏威夷最喜歡做的事是什麼? 不是血拼, 也不是在沙灘上日光浴喝插著小雨傘的 mai tai, 而是吃拉麵和喝生啤酒!!!
雖然在美國住了大半輩子. 可是每次一坐長途飛機, 一下飛機我第一件事就是想吃熱熱的湯麵.  從巴黎機場出來時, 想吃巴黎中國城的番茄蝦球湯麵.  在LAX降落後, 想喝旺旺的切仔粿條. 到達JFK時,  最想吃的就是五十七街的那家日本烏洞麵.  那天去夏威夷時, 飛機慢班了五個小時, 我在太平洋上方, 就在笑想熱呼呼的日本拉麵.  一到旅館就直奔拉麵店.  夏威夷拉麵店多到不的了.  裡面裝潢都普普, 可是拉麵一級棒!  我喜歡大口大口的吃麵,  還有大口大口的喝生啤酒.  只有一個字形容 "爽".  最好室內冷氣特強 更好
這家是位於food court 的一家拉麵店.  中午時小小的店擠滿人.
我點一碗紫蘇梅拉麵加玉米.  湯頭讚,  麵很Q,  肉也入口即化.

工作忙得不可開交了   明年預算季節開始了  容容我將有一兩個月不見天日的日子   好懷念 my Cabo vacation

Our favorite restaurant in Cabo is The Bistro.  The food is good and price is reasonable - mostly it locates inside the resort, so we didn't need to go into the town.  We practically ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 
Mexican Breakfst:  (Warning: Yummy but not good for diet).  Melted cheese, grilled chicken wtih toasted chips - definitely a comfy food

 
Cafe Massimo located at the heart of Rodeo Drive.   It's a tiny little Italian bistro, but really cozy insdie and food were great. 
Freshly made bread - yummy.  still warm just came out of the oven.
We all ordered pasta dishes - so Hannah can eat....
Karin ordered seafood linguine.  Lots of clams and rock shrimps, and tomato based sauce was tastey. You can never go wrong ordering seafood linguine at Italian cafe.
Robert ordered some kind of pesto based pasta......I couldn't remember what he ordered...
I was debating between risotto or gnocchi, and decided to try this seasonal Gnocchi di Zucca dish.  This is Italian dumpling filled with butternut squash with mascarpone sauce.  It was really good, I like butternut squash during winter time.  The fresh butternut squash made this gnocchi a bit sweet but taste so fresh.The light mascarpone sauce added the smoothness to this dish. 
We went all out this time and were determined to have a completed meal.......We saved room for desserts.....and insisited each to have our own.....no sharing...
Karin had chocolate cream brulee.. very yummy - not too sweet.
Both Robert and I had bread pudding.  I've been dying to have some good bread pudding.  This just perfectly fulfilled my graving.  The presentation is so pretty.  The sweet cream vanilla sauce and carmel sauce were so good.  The bread weren't too soaky.  I really liked it.
Massimo is a cute little cafe, I highly recommend it if you ever visit Rodeo Drive.  The price was reasonability, of course I wouldn't know since my elder sister and bro-in-law paid for it .....so nice to be the little sister.

Nebres and I visited Rodeo Drive during new year holidays. Robert wanted to see if we can run into movie stars, Karin just wanted to get out of the house, and I wanted to go get my LV Passy .  it has been almost ten years since I visisted Rodeo Drive - Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel still looks the same-grand and full of that fantasy from the movie Pretty Woman.  I wonder how many people would actually visit Rodeo Drive in hope of finding that handsome wealth prince charming.
I really like the architecture of buildings and all the Christmas decorations - It was a bit cold on that day, so it just like walking in Paris during winter time.....
My favoirate stores.....
LV store was so crowded, and the service wasn't that great...sales people were a bit stuck up, and they also ran out of EPI Passy..can you beleive that!!
As we continued strolling down Rodeo Drive, all the sunddenly we heard the screaming and camera flash light coming from everywhere...people were chasing after the guy in front of us...  That person looked like some kind of rock stars with a long black leather jacket....I think I saw him on TV before.  Karin asked one screaming fan - "who is that?"  "He is Osbournes."  "Who is Osbournes?" Karin asked....that fan just gave Karin the ugly look and walked away as she can't beleive she didn't know who Osbournes is......
Osbournes is from MTV reality show years ago "The Osbournes Family" - at least that part I know...unlike Karin and Robert ,  Well, I guess Robert fufilled his goal of meeting some stars but the problem was he didn't know who they were.......

I've been busy these days - behinds on updating my blog.....I am going to try my best to bring you all up to date.
I went to this Japanese restaurant with Penn's family few weeks ago at Old Town Pasadena. This place is one of our favoriate family lunch place.  Very authentic food, friendly staffs, and most importanlty this is one of the few places Samuel is willing to sit still allowing us to have lunch
They always display daily speical - they all seem yummy.  However, we always order the same thing....
Calpico water - this is my favoriate drink since I was a little girl. Oh- this always made good cocktail, just put in some vodka
SmallN & I both ordered combo:  half Katsudon & half udon soup.  Udon is chewy, and Katsudon rice is tasty- I think the secrect is in the sauce...
Steve ordered Curry rice - it looks good, too.

The little guy was please with the food -becuase he started to entertain us (Of course after his meal and 2 minutes time-out in the restroom with SmallN)

If you get sweet tooth and like Oreo cookies, I would recommond you check out "Joe -Joe's Candy Cane cookie" from Trader Joe's.
I think it has a cutiest name "Joe-Joe".  It tastes almost like oreo excepts it isn't as sweet as oreo and also has candy cane peppermint flavor.   This is a perfect cookie for Christmas season.  Go check it out!  It also comes with other flaovrs such as "peanut butter"
Lots of sweet during this Thanksgiving weekend.......
We received this mochi gift- freshly made from Japan. Big uncle picked it up from Tokoyo airport on his way to California.  The wrapping is really cute, Japanese knows how to make an attractive pacakge.
It's so color.  Mochi's tasted soft and chewy.  The orange & green pieces have citrus flavor - quite refreshing.   Well, after tasting different type of mochi here, my favoriate is still that Taiwanese street vendor's mochi - no fancy package nor coloring - just simply wrap in pastic bag with tons peanut power & sugar....yummy

Mom and Dad prepared me a nice meal on Friday to celebrate my birthday.  Although it is still few more days to go, but since we will have some guests stay with us for the next few days....()...they wanted to celebrate it earlier.  This is first time for many years since I celebrate birthday with them - It's nice. 
No birthday celebration can beat a fresh sashimi, hot sake and love from parents...... (okay maybe sisters night out.....)
