It's almost 10pm...the little red light on my blackberry is flashing. I hesitated a bit - the battle between keeping work life balance and being ahead of work for tomororw..... I picked it up and started checking my e-mails. An e-mail from my boss, wants something tomorrow morning. Okay- so it's a right decision to pick it up, so I can prepare to go to work a bit early instead of my usual late morning start. - thanks to my blackberry.
Many people have some sort of love and hate toward the blackberry. I used to be so against having a blackberry. I don't beleive the company is paying me enough to make me be a back and call 24/7. I against my life being controlled by that little blackberry ( or blueberry- which I used to mistakenly refer it to)
My first blackberry interaction is with Karin few years ago. Karin works in the high tech company - always up-to-day with the newest tech gadget. The only benefit I saw from her is that she can sneak out during work hours while still on top of her e-mail and no one konws she is not there. It used to annoy me while Karin is checking e-mail at night or during the weekend. Somehow, I 've joined the blackberry captive club. Every time that little red light flashes, I jump.
I checked my blackberry while waiting for my food or check during lunch.
I checked my blackberry during my vacation time.
I checked my blackberry while waiting for the red light in my car.
I checked my blackberry the moment I wake up in the morning.
I checked my blackberry while waiting in line to pay.......
I really need help!!!!!!! 
I started to list out some pro and con of the blackberry. Here is what I have come up with
Pro:
You can take long lunch
You can be prepared before go into the office in the morning
You don't need to bring you laptop during short buisness trip
You can sneak out during work hours
It's cool
It makes you look importantly - (??)
It will make your boss think you come in early and work late....
Con:
You have no life
You are expected to be on call 24/7
You have no excuse not to answer your e-mail
You've become an annoy person who check e-mail all the time.
You've an addiction

Okay.....I need to go now. the red light is flashing again, and I've been on the e-mail exchange the whole night on some stupid projects......
