I’ve never been big in dancing - for one simple reason -I am not good at it and want to spare myself from embarrassing myself in front of strangers.
Lately, I’ve been on the diet mission; try to lose few (or many I should say) pounds. I’ve been heading to the gym after to work more often. Yesterday, I decided to try out a Hip Hop class at LA fitness with my co-worker, Debra. I had no idea what to except, since I’ve never been to a Hip Hop class… really don’t see myself as a street dancer :)

Mitsuwa Marketplace
I went to Mitsuwa Marketplace for lunch today with my co-worker, Debra. Mitsuwa is a Japense chain supermarket in Costa Mesa, it's about 10 minutes from my office. Costa Mesa Mitsuwa is much nicer than the one in San Gabriel. The supermarket is clean, big, and well organized. There is also a bookstore, a little traditional sweet shop, a gift shop, a pottery place (where you can get some nice japenese soup bowl), and a large foodcourt.

Nikko Express @ HK Market
The first thing I always do when starting a new job is to find lunch pals. Of Course, it's important to learn new roles at work, but nothing beats great meals and good lunch partners. Lunch time is when we vent about our morning....and somehow we all have an unspoken agreement that "What's spoken in lunch, stays in lunch".

Propoline Hair Mask
I received my package from Drugstore.com today (http://www.drugstore.com). My hair has been super dry lately, maybe it's the So. CA sun.... Jane has tried this hair mask from Drugstore.com, and has strongly recommended me to give it a try.

They once had their dreams, too
I usually have a lot of free time when I go back to Mom and Dad's during the weekends. I snooped around the house, found some old pictures, my 1st diary from 2nd grade, and of course once I found $600 of travelers check (Mom forgot she had that for years).
I was looking at some old pictures of Mom and Dad this morning. Mom was very trendy when she was young- custom made clothes, mini skirt, and big sun glasses (BTW, the trend is back this year- over-sized sun glasses).

My Addication to Jeans.....
My addiction to Jeans.....
I couldn't remember how it started.... I used to think it's ridiculous to spend so much money on a pair of jeans. What's different between a $20 Old Navy jeans vs. $200 Seven Jeans....

Golden Margarita
I stopped by Cosco to pick up some items for Mom today. I need to admit that I have a bad habit...Everyday after work, I don't like to go straight home. Instead I like to walking around or shopping - I guess this is part of my distress process from hard day at work.
Dad reminded me last weekend to pick up some margarita mix for him. It's been hot in S. CA these days...hmmm.... a glass margarita - not a bad idea. I remember seeing the commerical on TV the other day on this new ready to serve Margarita mix called "Jose Cuervo Golden Margarita" - I decided to give it a try.

I love you, Mom & Dad
Maybe it's the culture, we don't frequently express our love to our parents verbally. I can hardly remember when it's the last time I said I love you to my parents..... In the past few years, I become appreciate them more, and feel truly blessed to have them.. maybe it's just simplily because I am older now, and they are older as well. Or maybe becuase I get to spend more time with them now after years of trying to be as far as away from home as possible so I can have freedom to build my own life that's different from theirs.
